Scott the PA was magnificent! Thorough, patient, hopeful, answered all questions,…he’s the best medical professional I’ve seen in a long time! If the others are anything like him, this place ROCKS!
Everyone was so nice and the procedure was on time.
My procedure was handled very well. The clinical staff and Dr Perez were reassuring. I felt listened to. My only gripe is actually not uncommon today. It was difficult to connect via telephone to staff members. Leaving voice mails is frustrating, however when speaking to staff, I found them also reassuring and able to provide needed answers. Overall I recommend this clinical practice to those in need of services.
Bare with me. This is a little long but a real experience. This was my third or fourth colonoscopy, at Asheville Gastro / DHP, over 30+ years. Always a great experience. This time the service was over and above what I could have expected. I have a inherited gene that causes blood clots. I take 8.5 mg of Coumadin a day to thin my blood and .....stay alive. I must stop taking the Coumadin days before a colonoscopy. To compensate my primary doctor prescribes Lovenox injections to take before and after the procedure. When I pick... read more

I felt good after my visit to Dr. Tong on September 5th. She is personable and took a complete history. I feel confident about my care. All the staff that I interacted with were kind and caring. I am glad I am part of that system.
What a well organized place! Parking was a breeze. From receptionist to nurse intake to scheduling, I encountered only complete friendliness and professionalism. I felt like a guest, not just a patient. In this time of corporate madness and hostility, this was a refreshing experience. Even the MD was attentive and kind. As a semi retired healthcare worker myself, I certainly appreciated the care and attention I received!

We have used these doctors and their colonoscopy & endoscopy procedures 3 times this year, twice for my husband and once for myself, and we have always received excellent care. I highly recommend them. However, I have one small complaint. The front desk has us write our names and sign that my spouse will be my designated driver, then we take that form with other paperwork to the nurse. The waiting room is secure but unattended.
