My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Kavaler for many years. In additional to being a great doctor and surgeon, he is also a compassionate. kind and patient human being.
My husband is elderly with multiple serious health issues. Dr. Kavaler advised us up front that his colonoscopy must be done in a hospital setting, which Dr. Kavaler does not do. In spite of that we had a lengthy discussion In which he patiently advised us on how to proceed elsewhere. He kindly offered to be of any help he could in the future. My husband and I felt well directed after our conversation. Also, he has done my colonoscopies in the past and I will continue to go to him in the future. Excellent bedside manner.
Dr. Kavaler is a remarkable human being as well as a fabulous gastroenterologist who has helped me innumerable times over the past 20 years. He is always there for his patients, his bedside manner is wonderful, he is caring and reassuring, and he never hesitates to find the best solution to a patient's health issues. Dr. K's team is equally caring and competent. In my opinion, Dr. Kavaler's knowledge and skills as a doctor are exceptional. I believe anyone would feel in good hands to have him as their physician.
Yet again, Dr. Kavaler and the team at NY Endoscopy made my visit easy, pleasant and fast. Last summer I was there for my routine colonoscopy, but this time my primary doc here in Brooklyn said I needed an endoscopy and suggested Dr. Kavaler again since he appreciates the thorough reports that are promptly sent to him. Dr. Kavaler spent a lot of time explaining what he'd found and done. My wife worked in radiology for years and she loves his thoroughness. Thank you, Dr. K.
Booking the appointment was smooth and Dr. Kavaler’s staff was helpful and followed up with all instructions, as well as with submitting insurance paperwork. I used the patient portal to ask a question about taking medication pre-procedure and Dr. Kavaler responded within hours. On the day of the appointment, the staff at the Endoscopy center was efficient, helpful and warm. Unfortunately I had a bit of a wait but that’s to be expected with a mid-day appointment. Dr.Kavaler is kindest, personable professional doctor. He took time to listen to my problem and assisted me with immediate care.
Dr. Kavaler is personable, friendly, competent, professional, and caring. Going to Dr. Kavaler for a visit such as a colonoscopy is a double-edged sword. I do not look forward going through the procedure, but I most definitely look forward to seeing him. I know I am in good hands, and I trust him 100%. I cannot recommend a doctor more highly or more enthusiastically than I can Dr. Kavaler. He is the best.
Dr Kavaler has been my doctor for many years, and has always been attentive to my needs and concerns with both colonoscopies and endoscopies. He's very personable, and very professional. My husband is under his care as well and we both have the utmost respect for him as a person and medical Doctor.
