Dr Kornbluth is a brilliant, kind, compassionate professional, who is not only generous with his time, but with his heart. He is a real life superhero, who puts his patients needs above his own. I had a telehealth visit with Dr Kornbluth today...Prior to the recent Covid-Pandemic I would go to see Dr Kornbluth at his office. I have always been touched by his commitment and sincerity to me (his patients) . Although he knows I will remind him of his running behind (time wise-for an appt) he will always give me all the time I need to speak with him. Not only is Dr. kornbluth a most brilliant and compassionate doctor. He is a real mentch. More than once has doctor kornbluth rearranged his schedule to accommodate what would be easiest on my family. Dr. Kornbluth follows through finding the best possible treatment. He is a truly dedicated doctor. Having Dr. Kornbluth as my doctor makes all the difference when living with crohn's disease.
I became suddenly ill at the end of December. I had five hospitalizations in a month and a half, the longest being for four weeks. Even after that none of the countless doctors I saw in three different hospitals could definitively diagnose me. I felt completely lost and helpless. None of the doctors seemed to care. I went through four gastroenterologists before meeting and sticking with Dr. Kornbluth. His treatment of patients is second to none. He treats you with respect and makes sure you understand the treatment being provided and why it is the best option. He also lets you know what potential future paths might be necessary for achieving your medical goal(mine being remission). I have been a patient of Dr. Kornbluth for approximately 25 years after being a patient of the Head of Gastroenterology at Mt. Sinai for almost 30 years. Dr. Kornbluth has the unique combination of being a brilliant and compassionate physician. Besides being a leader in his field he puts his patients first. From past experience, I know that when I need him, he is always there for me. Within the last year Dr. Kornbluth prescribed a new medicine and I am now symptom free. He is the best and I highly recommend him.
