I've been seeing Dr. Kavaler for years. I've stayed with him because he treats me as a person, not as a patient. He is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. He takes time to talk to me, make sure I understand his instructions and the results of my tests and is always available if I need him. I have sent many friends to see him and they all feel the same way I do. He's the best.
The absolute best doctor anyone could hope for! Kind, calm, caring, thorough and smart. He even went to bat for me with my insurance. You can be 100% confident that you are in the best care!
Absolutely the most incredible doctor and person! He is truly caring, thorough, brilliant and not an alarmist. I even brought my daughter to him and she couldn’t get over how awesome he is. Really he is the best of the best. A true gem!

The center staff was kind and competent. The appointment schedule was kept., people were helpful and the all-around experience was positive. Additionally, Dr Kavaler is a good listener and an extremely competent surgeon. I would highly recommend both the doctor and the surgery center to anyone in need of help.
Dr. Kavaler presents as a reasonable Gastro for conveniently scheduled treatment. I recently had my Colonoscopy with him. However, if you are in physical distress, have spent 7 hours the previous day in Mt. Sinai ER, and ‘think’ you have a Gastro, consider: Through my entire episode I could not reach him, nor get any return calls from him, nor get an appt with him in less than 2 weeks.
